School Health Issues

All children are ill sometimes and when they are, please keep them away from school for their own wellbeing and to prevent the spread of infection. While we promote high attendance, clearly if a child is unwell, they should not be in school.

Please note: We require all children and staff not to return to school until 48 hours after any incidence of vomitting or diarrhoea.

Headlice

Please note that headlice are quite common in school ages children and, while finding eggs (nits) or lice in your child's hair is not pleasant or unusual, it is not a reason for your child to miss school. We ask tha, on discovering headlice, you treat your child as soon as possible and try to keep any long hair tied up to avoid reinfection.
