An Equalities Statement from the Governing Body
Our school is open to all children whose learning and wellbeing needs can be met in mainstream education. We are proud to look after, care for and nurture children from across Chepstow and beyond regardless of their postcode, house number or name, ability, gender, nationality, ethnicity or any other demographic. Children come to our school from a range of households, family structures and backgrounds and all are equally welcome.

Further, at The Dell Primary School, we are committed to working towards equity for all regardless of their circumstances and to the creation of an inclusive culture in which every individual, is enabled to participate and is valued as a member of our school community.

Equality means sharing equally, giving everybody the same amount of something.
Equity means giving everybody what they need to get the same access to something.
'One nation, built by many'

Therefore we promote positive approaches to difference and foster respect for all, regardless of all and any aspect of their life, background, culture or appearance.

We expect all stakeholders and visitors to understand and respect this statement.
